As the Idols tour comes to a close, the Giraud Squad has made YOBI.tv’s Make the Cut host Matt Giraud a twitter trend.
The Giraud Squad and the rest of Matt’s fans have been very loyal and generous. “I’ve received lots of Tigger stuffed animals, probably about a few a day. I keep some of the stuff and give away the others to kids. Whatever I tweet about, without even thinking, the fans inevitably show up with those as gifts.” Perhaps Matt should tweet about a car that he wants!
After the tour, Matt will host “Make The Cut,” an online global singing contest. He has also booked shows across the country. “I plan on recording and putting a record out. I want to land a good record deal and make an album that I can have some say in creating.” Mainly, Matt looks forward to “pursuing the dream of making music and touring across the country like I’ve been doing this summer with the Idol Tour.”
For all of the American Idol hopefuls out there, Matt suggests, “Be yourself. Don’t be afraid to be unique. Show your personality.”

As for the immediate future, Giraud said he’ll perform the national anthem at a Detroit Tigers game this fall and will be hosting a “Idol”-like contest called “Make the Cut” on Yobi TV, an online-only reality contest network. It is slated to start later this month (www.yobi.tv) and Giraud is the judge.
